Consultation Skills Learning Centre (CSLC)

The Consultation Skills Learning Centre (CSLC) is a purpose-built facility in the Stopford Building designed to help medical students develop and apply their knowledge, skills, attitudes and awareness for patient-centred consulting.

The Centre houses 24 dedicated consultation rooms to replicate hospital outpatient departments and GP surgeries.

The aim is to provide an authentic clinical environment to support the development of consultation skills, learning how to explore and gather information about a patient’s medical history and undertake physical examinations, with peers and with simulated patients.
