The regulator of the MBChB Programme, the General Medical Council (GMC), as with many other professional bodies, emphasises the appropriate and professional use of Social Media and Networking sites in its guidance.

The Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health also offers advice, guidance and a set of standards for healthcare students about the benefits, and potential dangers, of using social media and networking, and suggests ways in which their personal and professional interests, and those of others, can be protected while in the online environment.  Please read: FBMH Professionalism Policy and Guidance pages 13-21.
