How to Contact Us

The MBChB Programme is run by a team of academic/clinical and administrative University staff, mainly based at the University of Manchester.

These staff liaise extensively with the clinical education campuses in Years 3-5 to ensure your Programme is delivered in line with GMC and University requirements.

Please contact the relevant email addresses published within this handbook and a member of staff will get back to you as soon as possible to help with your query.

The School of Medical Sciences has a hub on the ground floor of Stopford Building which is normally open between 09:00 and 17:00 (excluding weekends, bank holidays and the winter vacation) for face-to-face and telephone enquiries. Tel: 0161 306 0460.

Emails & Notifications
Email from the University and notifications from our in-house medical school VLE called 1Med contain essential communication from your tutors and Programme staff so you must check these regularly at least once a day. You will find key staff email addresses (and phone numbers) in the Contacts section of this handbook as well as in the University on-line email address book (searchable from the University homepage).

For data and identity security, you must use your University email address when contacting the Programme; contact using other personal email addresses may be refused. We strongly recommend that you set up your University email account on your phone for ease.  Information on how to do this can be found at: https://www.itservices.manchester.ac.uk/email/student/.
