In Years 3, 4 and 5, learning resources will be primarily provided by the Programme on-site either at your clinical education campus or the various clinical placements you will be attached to over the three years. Increasingly, information and a variety of learning packages are being placed on the websites linked below. You should familiarise yourself with your clinical education campus’ information:
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust: Oxford Road Campus
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Wythenshawe Hospital Campus
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
It is your responsibility to regularly check for information changes/updates.
IT Facilities and Internet Access at Clinical Education Campus
Please visit IT Services for up to date information and advice about University-managed services and support.
Teaching and research in the Faculty is spread over a wide area within a 70-mile radius of Manchester with links to Manchester Royal Infirmary, St Mary’s, Northern Care Alliance, Wythenshawe, The Christie, Stepping Hill and Tameside General and Preston hospitals. Some hospitals may have dedicated IT rooms/Trust libraries for medical students to access and on the campus all the major buildings have some teaching or ‘open access’ facilities (i.e. available to all University students).
Eduroam may be available to students at the large educational sites within MFT Wythenshawe, Northern Care Alliance and MFT Oxford Road. The Royal Preston Hospital has also implemented student accessible wireless internet access across sites.
Further information is provided by each of the teaching hospitals upon entry into the third year.
